What I've Learned

as a Dealer or Floor Supervisor

I've learned that you shouldn't compare yourself to other dealers - they are way more fucked up than you think.

I've learned that the "old timers" complaining about women in the business are wrong. They say things like "women have ruined this business" or " I'll never work for a woman Pit Manager" . I disagree. I say hire more, promote them all!! You just haven't lived until you've gotten a blow job from a Pit Manager!

I've learned that if you rat your buddies out, a promotion is on the way.

I've learned It was more fun learning how to deal than it is knowing how.

I've learned that young dealers today don't take any pride in their work, don't strive to become better, don't listen to those that have been there. Casino corporations love them!!

I've learned that if casinos REALLY wanted friendly and personable NON-UNION dealers they would simply give us our table for table tokes RIGHTS back!

I've learned that it takes years to build up trust, and it only takes suspicion, not proof, to destroy it.

I've learned in this business that sometimes the people you expect to kick you when you're down ........will be the ones who do.

I've been verbally abused in seventeen languages and  learned to say "Fuck 'em if they can't take a joke" in six.

I've learned that no matter how good you think this person deals, somewhere there is someone in another  casino that is sick of their shit.

I've learned that you can get by on charm for about fifteen minutes.  After that, you'd better deal the game very well or have huge tits.

I've learned that I should have finished college! Even if it was at UNLV.

I've learned that only the experienced and knowledgeable floor supervisors and boxmen are cool, calm and collected when the shit hits the fan, while the other supervisors panic first, become ignorant and then fuck everything up blaming everybody in their path but themselves.

I've learned that if they don't tip the cocktail waitress, they sure as hell aren't going to take care of you!

I've learned that people that never could deal very well.....teach others how.

(Would you agree Scott?)

I've learned that random drug tests are a PAIN IN THE ASS!!!

I've learned that it takes both eyes, both ears, and both hands to cover your ass!

It doesn't matter how well you deal. What matters is how well you "play the game".

One thing I have learned from dealing ...........it is much easier to get a job if you audition in a miniskirt with no undies!!!
