For the
first 7 years this was a site intended merely for craps dealers. I added CasinoDealers.Net
to the domain in 2004. During this time the days of dealing 'craps only'
were numbered as more casinos wanted multi-game dealers. So it made sense.
Rather than change the name of the site I simply added a new theme. Casino Dealers
Network at Dicedealer.com

We have
six major sections each offering a little something for all of us.

Casino
Stories are my favorite. It has always amazed me that so many of my peers
have sent in so many short stories. I'm particularly fond of the short
stories from days gone by. Humor is a big part of me. This business offers
plenty of it. Tales from the pits are what bonds us. All of us. We all have
a story or two. So please, if you would like to share an old casino story,
send it in. Make us laugh. We tease everyone on the
site, dealers, floor supervisors and even customers that visit casinos.
It's all in good fun. Don't take it so serious.
The floor
section is what we call a 'Guide to table game supervision'.
Designed for dealers who may have an interest in becoming a floor
supervisor. What it is
not, are the opinions of one man, the author Dale
Yeazel. This 15 chapter of opinions belong to the hundreds of people that
touched his casino life. There is nothing like it on the net or in any
published book with such detail. This project is a wonderful resource that
supplements in house training.
Then
there are the interviews. What made these interviews special
is that the reader was allowed to participate by asking questions rather
than me asking all the questions. Let's just say at the time we did those, it was
fun.
Dealing
advice section offers opinions on casino dealing and is a nice
reference for those learning the games. Dealers helping dealers. Many
thanks go out for the contributions sent in for this section of the site.
And
finally the forums. The bread and butter of most websites are
message boards for networking. This one is no exception. The
forums have always been provided for anyone who deals or supervises
in a casino to share information and insights into the gaming industry as
it effects them. There are eight different message boards each hosting an
independent theme for casino pit workers.
Word of
mouth has always been the only advertising around here until September 20,
2006. Prior to that date the forums flew under the radar of the general
public until Steve Wynn changed his tip
policy at his magnificent hotel casino. The forums
erupted with first hand accounts of displeasure that attracted news media
who quoted
from the forums and I soon found myself with more readers than I ever wanted or even wished
for. The
local newspaper in Vegas even misquoted me in an interview
primarily due to the Wynn controversy and it's indirect relationship with
the site. The tone of the forums changed after all that and hasn't really
been the same since. Shame.
Anyway,
enjoy
this mess of a website we have built and watch me ruin my career in front
of your eyes!
